I have just returned to work and my colleague mentioned to me that your Dad passed away a week ago. I was deeply saddened at this news and wanted to extend my sincerest condolences to you, your mum, Helen, Shona and Matthew. As you know I dealt with your Dad for many years whilst he held the reins at Proffitts of Bolton. Our meetings and discussions were always a pleasure and I am sure I learned a lot of people skills come from him! I don’t think I had seen your Dad post Covid but prior to then it always amused me when I would bump into him in the bakery shop in Ramsbottom. He was always trying to force down a pie before he was caught by your mum who was in another shop! I hope the memories of your Dad bring you comfort and may the love of friends and family provide strength and solace during this time of sorrow. With deepest sympathy.
